The Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) congratulates Big Jim’s and Family Barbeque and the upcoming Clearwater Brewery Company on receiving North Greenwood CRA Commercial Grants. Each business has been awarded up to $75,000 to make property improvements and contribute to the revitalization of the North Greenwood Community Redevelopment Area (NGCRA).
(The Clearwater Brewery Company is set to open at the commercial space located on 1700 N. Fort Harrison Avenue.)
The North Greenwood Commercial Grant Program is designed to promote reinvestment in the area by encouraging commercial property owners and business owners to make building, structural, and site improvements. The program supports the growth of local businesses by enhancing their competitiveness, productivity, and job creation capabilities, while also improving the visual character of the community.
Additionally, the Clearwater CRA offers a Residential Exterior Improvement Grant Program to assist homesteaded single-family homeowners in North Greenwood. This initiative provides funding for exterior upgrades to enhance neighborhood pride, improve property conditions, and eliminate blight.
