Clearwater Brewing Company Celebrates Grand Opening in North Greenwood

Clearwater Brewing Company officially opened its doors to the public on Thursday, August 14, with a Grand Opening celebration that brought together more than 300 guests, including city officials, community leaders, and residents.
Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector led the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside Assistant City Manager Al Battle and Pinellas County Commissioner Chris Latvala. The group was joined by brewery co-owner Rob Menard, who shared his vision for the space as a welcoming destination for both locals and visitors.
“Our brewery aims to be a hub for locals and visitors, offering a rotating selection of craft beers, spirits, and even our specialty root beer,” Menard said. “Everything is brewed on-site, and we’re proud to open our doors in the city our family calls home.”
The Clearwater CRA supported the project through its North Greenwood Commercial Grant Program, which is designed to encourage investment in property improvements within the North Greenwood CRA. Eligible improvements include building renovations, landscaping, decorative lighting, pedestrian amenities, and both interior and exterior upgrades.
“Clearwater Brewing Company is a great example of how public-private partnerships can help revitalize neighborhoods,” said Assistant City Manager Al Battle. “Through programs like the CRA’s Commercial Grant, we’re able to support small business owners who are investing in our community’s future.”
Located in a renovated building at 1700 N. Fort Harrison Avenue, the brewery features indoor and outdoor seating, live music, and a lineup of handcrafted beverages. The Grand Opening gave attendees a first look at the transformed space, made possible in part through CRA grant assistance.
