Demonstrating Placer.ai tools

Staff demonstrated the Placer.ai platform, a new location analytics tool that provides more accurate attendance and visitation data for downtown events and activities.

The platform allows the CRA and city to move beyond anecdotal attendance figures and instead utilize objective, data-driven insights such as visitor origin, dwell time, repeat visitation and movement patterns. These insights will help guide future investments, measure performance, and support transparent, informed decision-making.

Trustees expressed appreciation for the move toward evidence-based tools that strengthen municipal performance and accountability.
