Fresh Start Market Expands Downtown Clearwater’s Evening Scene

St. Petersburg College Corporate College has partnered with the City of Clearwater Downtown Development Board (DDB) to launch Fresh Start Market, a new Friday night market series designed to highlight local vendors, small businesses, artists, and St. Petersburg College students and alumni—while adding new energy to Downtown Clearwater’s evening scene.

Fresh Start Market debuts Friday, Jan. 9, from 6–9 p.m. in Downtown Clearwater and will take place over five consecutive Fridays, concluding with a special Super Bowl Kickoff Market on Saturday, Feb. 7. The series is centered along Cleveland Street and is designed to encourage community gathering, small business growth, and vibrant downtown activation.

• Glow into the New Year– Jan. 9

• Latin Nights – Jan. 16

• Caribbean Nights– Jan. 23

• Pet’s Night Out– Jan. 30

• Salsa on Cleveland St. – Feb. 6

• Pre-Superbowl Party – Feb. 7

Each event will feature rotating vendors, artisan goods, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities, creating opportunities for small businesses while encouraging community connection.

“Fresh Start Market creates meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurs while bringing energy and vibrancy to Downtown Clearwater,” said Belinthia Berry, Dean of Workforce Development at SPC.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to workforce development, economic growth, and downtown activation.

“The Fresh Start Market will activate Cleveland Street, showcase local merchants, and invite residents and visitors to experience Downtown Clearwater in an engaging way,” said Jesus Nino, Director of the Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency.
